    After watching our own childrens behaviour and the social development in children in general I find that the problem of Good Parenting goes beyond nutrition for kids or healthy eating for children in this 21st Century. Today we see, hear, and read more and more about depression in children or hyperactive children along with the new drugs to treat those problems. New books, tapes and CD’s are hitting the market regularly on how to discipline children or deal with the problems in our kids today. After hearing so much about this, and finding a little extra time on my hands, I finally decided to add my take on this age old problem. One person may not change statistics for awhile, but maybe through this website a few can realize there is still hope.

    Having been raised in a Good God Fearing (Reverencing) and God Loving Family with God Fearing and God Loving Grandparents, on both sides, (for four generations that I know of) I feel qualified to talk about some of the good parenting tips that were passed down through the ages of raising children.

    My Parents are in their 80's, at the time of this writing, and still love the Lord and love and enjoy each other very much. My wife and I have been married for 41 years and Love the Lord and each other more today than we did when we first met. Our Children are happily married and raising good happy children, some in their teens, and we are all still practicing parenting skills that were passed down from the previous generations. Solomon said it best in Ecclesiastes 1:9b, 10 “...there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us.” (KJV-New Open Bible) Maybe Solomon did not have a glimpse of the computer age and the 21st Century when pinning this verse but there is still truth and wisdom in his words.

    Practical Parenting is nothing new today however, many of today’s parenting teenagers have never had an opportunity to receive positive parenting themselves much less the time to learn good parenting skills before becoming parents themselves. How can we expect them to succeed in raising children without a little parenting help in this 21st Century?   Maybe Pepa’s input will be the very help they need. We have made it for 41 years and we represent four generations before us that have passed down to us their secrets and parenting skills. Our hope is by sharing some of this insight, that God has so graciously given to us, our readers will have the faith to believe that “you can make it too”.

     Hi, I'm Barrett J.,

             I have the wonderful opportunity to grow up in this great family. Right now I can spend my time just looking cool and being a kid.
             I came late in my parents life and if I had been born to many of the other parents of today I may have been aborted. Thank God I was not.
             I have brought love, joy, happiness, and even comfort to those around me and I am only 3. I have a lot to give to this family, and the world, through the days of my life.
